2020 is shaping up to be quite a year on the writing front. At the beginning of the year, my story "Designer Recall" appeared in the January 2020 issue of Terror Tract. It's a Mathesonesque piece about designer children and family dynamics.
Up next, my Lovecraftian novelete "The Doom That Came to Hidden Pines" appears in Soteira Press's anthology Horror U.S.A. - Texas: An Anthology of Horror From the Lone Star State, out now.
And more tales are forthcoming.
Derek Austin Johnson has lived most of his life in the Lone Star State. His work has appeared in The Horror Zine, Rayguns Over Texas!, Horror U.S.A.: Texas, Campfire Macabre, The Dread Machine, and Generation X-ed.
