Derek Austin Johnson was born in the Northeast but has lived most of his life in the Lone Star State. His work has appeared in Campfire Macabre, The Dread Machine, Generation X-ed, Midnight Tales, The Horror Zine's Book of Werewolf Stories, and Camp Slasher Lake Volume I.

He lives in Central Texas.
